Four generations at the bend of the river. Here's how we got here and how to find us.
Ray and Sylvia Sullivan bought the land in 1974 — forty acres, a leaning barn, and a river on the far side of the south field. They grew sweet corn and raised two kids who grew up and stayed close.
Today it's a smaller operation than it used to be. We plant what we like to eat, keep a flock of hens, and tend a long row of strawberries that our grandmother started. The old carriage house has been lovingly reworked into a rental suite — we open it up for guests who want a quiet weekend near the water.
The antiques room came by accident. Four generations of collecting has to go somewhere, and we'd rather pieces keep finding new homes than gather dust.
We're open Friday through Sunday, 9 to 5, from the last frost to first snow. Come by for strawberries, stay for a pot of tea on the porch. If the red mailbox is open, we're open.
